Our Values

Compass Christian Fellowship Foundational Values

Our foundational values are from the bible and that are strategic and intentional, providing focus and direction. No church is perfect, and in our imperfections these are qualities and actions we seek to practice.  We want to benefit the people of and our surrounding communities by offering specific opportunities for spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and relational development (Luke 2:52). As believers, we desire to worship the only true God, to present Jesus Christ to those outside the faith, and to strengthen believers on their spiritual journey to maturity in Christ (Col. 1:8).

Committed to demonstrating a dynamic Christian statement by our lives of the transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ, we offer opportunities for individuals and families of all ages to assemble throughout the week for worship, prayer, instruction, Bible study, evangelism, service, encouragement, recovery, and Christian fellowship (Acts 1:8; 2:42‐47).

(a) Worship & Prayer. We value an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Because of that, we are committed to both corporate and individual worship, celebrating all that He has done for us, is doing for us, and will do for us. This leads us in turn to talk often with Him, about everything (John 4:23, 24; Colossians 1:9‐12, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

(b) Evangelism & Missions. We value as a high priority the sharing of the goodnews of Jesus Christ. We are called and compelled as a fellowship to share His gift of eternal life in a relevant way with as many people as possible within our culture and beyond (Matthew 28:18‐20,
Acts 1:8).

(c) God’s Word & Spiritual Growth. We value, over all other sources of information and thought, the authority of the Word of God. We desire to have God speak into our lives through solid relevant Bible teaching that will result in significant personal life change (Joshua 1:8O; Psalm 1:2, 3; Colossians 1:28‐29).

(d) The Community Of Believers. We value all aspects of family and community. And because of that we desire to embrace and connect in meaningful ways in relationship with one another, through Life and Serving Communities. We believe that all Christ-followers are believer priests, and to that end, no one should become inactive in loving and serving others (Acts 2:42‐47; Hebrews 10:24, 25).

(e) Love And Compassion. We value others around us deeply, because God does. And having Jesus Christ residing in us, we desire to serve others with frequent acts of mercy and help in His name (Matthew 9:36‐38; 1 John 4:19‐21)
